Dutch producer of complex multi-layer labels Kien Label has further strengthened its production capabilities with the addition of an MPS EFS-430 8-colour flexo press, installed in January 2025. This installation marks the company’s fifth MPS press.

“We’re excited to introduce this advanced 8-colour press to our operations,” said Renier Simons, manager operations at Kien Label. “This investment allows us to boost our production capacity for standard self-adhesive labels, while also enhancing our sustainability with the latest LED drying technology. The MPS press improves our efficiency and frees up capacity on our other machines for more complex jobs.”

The EFS-430 replaces an older EC 330/4 model and offers a wider format along with more flexo stations, providing Kien Label with the flexibility to produce a broader range of labels. Although the focus on this new press remains on standard self-adhesive labels, the company continues to serve the multi-layer label sector within the Asteria Group.

With five MPS presses already in operation, including the new press replacing the 4-colour machine, the company is confident that the new addition will contribute to further operational improvements. The press is also equipped with MPSConnect, allowing for real-time monitoring and performance optimisation.

“We’ve always been satisfied with MPS machines and the support they provide,” Mr Simons added. “This new press will help us meet growing demand, increase productivity and maintain high-quality production.”
