Comexi has announced that Pau Xifra will take over as its president on 1 May 2025, continuing the succession plan set in motion eight years ago. He will succeed his father Manel Xifra, who will remain with the company as a member of the Board of Directors.

Pau Xifra, who joined the Comexi Board in 2018, has held key positions within the company, including director of strategy and transformation in 2022, and managing director in 2023. Comexi said he has played a pivotal role in strengthening its position in the flexible packaging sector, driving significant growth in both sales and profitability.

He said: “I am committed to building on solid foundations and contributing to the growth of this great company.”

Manel Xifra emphasised that this transition is part of a planned generational handover to ensure the company’s continued growth and success. “A new generation, with new ideas, will lead the organisation to face challenges and achieve even more ambitious goals,” he commented.

José María Pastor, the current strategy and transformation director, will step into the role of managing director. With experience in family businesses, Mr Pastor joined Comexi in 2023 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic direction, the company stated.

Mr Pastor added: “I will dedicate all my efforts to continue implementing our strategy and expanding Comexi’s positive trajectory.”
