Cutting technology provider Summa has introduced its new V Series, a lineup of four flatbed cutters tailored for the packaging industry. The V Series includes the Invicta, Optima, Integra, and Omnia models, each designed to meet specific needs in packaging production.
The Invicta is a single-head cutter, which the company said is ideal for prototyping and short runs, while the Optima offers a double-head design for enhanced efficiency. The Integra, featuring an integrated router, is “perfect” for both packaging and signage, and the Omnia excels in automation for short production runs, Summa added. All models are compatible with Summa’s GoProduce software, offering kiss- and V-cutting and quick tool swaps.
Available in different bed sizes, ranging from 750 x 800mm to 1600 x 3030mm, the V Series handles a range of materials, including corrugated board, folding carton, vinyl, and leather. With over 15 specialised tools for cutting and creasing, and a material thickness capacity of up to 20mm, Summa stated that these cutters are built for precision and adaptability.
Summa’s CEO, Stijn Henderickx, emphasised the precision and flexibility of the V Series, making it ideal for prototyping, low-volume production, and a variety of industries. The V Series will be available worldwide immediately, with demonstrations at ISA and Fespa events.
