Croatian packaging printer HON-ING has expanded its production with the first Nilpeter FA-26 press to be installed in Europe’s Adriatic region.
Željka Kašnar, executive director of HON-ING, said Nilpeter’s technology, reliability, and support have enabled the company to stay ahead of the curve – having previously invested in multiple Nilpeter presses, including the FA-3300, FA-6, FA-22, and FA-4. With the FA-26, the company believes it is ready to expand its capabilities in flexible packaging, meeting the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions.
The FA-26 is designed specifically for the flexible packaging market. Nilpeter said the press offers a 26in web width, high-speed performance, and a modular platform, allowing for seamless integration of additional processes such as lamination, cold foil, and gravure coating – an ideal solution for flexible packaging converters looking to enhance efficiency and print quality.
HON-ING stated that with the new press, it can achieve a wider format and higher speeds – with an expected speed increase of more than 50% – positioning itself at the forefront of the global flexible packaging industry’s evolving market.
Alex Aarslew-Jensen, international sales manager at Nilpeter, concluded: “HON-ING’s investment in the FA-26 is an important step for the region and strengthens Nilpeter’s position in mid-web flexo printing for flexible packaging.”
