Flexo printing and converting machinery manufacturer Soma says it experienced a “record breaking” year in 2024, with increases in turnover, repeat sales and contract agreement numbers.

The company claims to be in its fifth year of continued growth in turnover, with 2024 being the ‘record’ year for the company to date. Soma also highlighted that last year it had an all-time high in repeat sales, reflecting strong relationships with existing customers; and a record number of contractual agreements, paving the way for a promising start to 2025.

Soma said that it used  drupa 2024 as a platform to launch a range of products: Intelligent Printing Unit, a solution for single-pass operations that boosts efficiency in package print production; Proxima, a flexo press capable of printing at speeds up to 400m/min; and Pluto III.2, the company’s top seller slitter rewinder featuring an integrated waste management system.

The above launches underscore Soma’s commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability, and its ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the global market, said Pavla Kusá, commercial director of Soma.

Additionally, 2024 also saw the company strengthen its global presence. Soma expanded in Latin America with a new service centre, and in North America, with an increase in employees in the region. The company also strengthened its presence in the Middle East, Balkans region, and parts of South America, through partnerships with local representatives. Additionally, its headquarters in the Czech Republic grew with a third manufacturing hall, further increasing its production capacity and operational efficiency.

Ms Kusá concluded: “As we move into 2025, we remain dedicated to our mission, as envisioned by the founder of Soma, to humbly continue supporting our customers in overcoming new challenges. We are committed to providing solutions that empower them, staying true to our promise of delivering exceptional technology, support and value to those we serve globally.”
