A B Graphic International (ABG), has begun work to expand its manufacturing site in Baesweiler, Germany, which will see the facility nearly double its footprint from 2300sqm to 4400sqm, enabling shorter production times, accommodating larger schedules.

Originally acquired by ABG in 2006, the Baesweiler facility site plays a pivotal role in its operations, explained ABG. The site is home to the production of products such as slitter rewinders, booklet machines, FleyeVision camera inspection systems and specialist rewinders.

The new facility will consolidate the current warehouse, workshop and paint booth, allowing the existing space to be repurposed as a dedicated specialist demonstration centre and streamlined production zones.

Ralf Wirtz, ABG GmbH’s managing director, said the expansion will also create skilled job opportunities for the local community, whilst also offering career development for ABG’s existing workforce.

‘Our Baesweiler facility has been integral to our operations and customer satisfaction,’ said Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director. ‘This expansion underlines our dedication to the German market and our long-term strategy to invest in areas where demand for our products is strongest,’ he concluded.
