German label and packaging producer ATB Systemetiketten has expanded its production capabilities, investing in two Grafotronic digital finishing and converting machines, a DCL2 350 and a Grafotronic HI3 570, which build on the company’s success with its first Grafotronic DCL2 350, installed in 2018.

That initial investment has delivered ‘outstanding reliability, precision, and efficiency’, according to ATB. It said the new systems will strengthen its competitive edge. They were purchased through Grafotronic’s DACH region distributor, Graficon Maschinenbau.

Grafotronic’s DCL machines generally feature a flexo station, and the new DCL2 350 at ATB will enhance the Asteria Group company’s digital finishing capabilities with upgrades for greater efficiency. Meanwhile, the HI3 570, with its 570mm web width, enables flexible conversion of large rolls to small rolls, considered crucial for meeting market demands.

Sandro Trenna, area sales manager for Northern Germany at Graficon, said, ‘The decision to invest in additional Grafotronic machines underscores the importance of trust and long-term partnerships in our industry. We are proud to support ATB Systemetiketten in achieving their production goals.’
