Family-owned business Rotocon Group, provider of flexo presses, finishing machines, and ancillary equipment to the label and packaging market, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Marco Aengenvoort, son of CEO Michael Aengenvoort, as managing director.

In this role, Marco will lead sales outreach and market growth strategies and will also continue to provide support to the company’s European sales team.

Marco’s entry into the narrow web industry, over two decades ago, was with the German branch of Rotoflex, later sold to Mark Andy. In 2008, Marco and his father Michael established RotoControl as a German manufacturer of high-speed inspection, cutting and rewinding equipment. A year later, Rotocon became the South African agent for these leading-edge finishing machines, which now also include die-cut, digital and booklet printed labels.

Marco led RotoControl as managing director for 16 years and built the company into a brand known for engineering customisable, ‘high-quality’ finishing machines supported by an international distribution network. In 2017, RotoControl was acquired by EMT International, an American manufacturer specialising in finishing equipment and accessories for the printing and converting industries, with Marco continuing his managing director role until October 2024.

Michael Aengenvoort, commented, ‘We are thrilled to welcome Marco into this pivotal role within the Rotocon Group. His extensive experience and innovative vision will help drive our commitment to excellence and enhance the global presence of the Rotocon brand.’

He concluded, ‘United as a family and with the support of our dedicated employees, we will continue to serve the industry in delivering innovative printing and finishing solutions that prioritise the needs of our customers.’
