Flexo and hybrid press manufacturer MPS Systems has formed a distribution partnership with SMAG, manufacturer of solutions for finishing and embellishing self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging, encompassing both sales and service support in the French market.
SMAG – founded in 1980 – is based in Savigny-sur-Orge, France, 20km south of Paris. The company’s range of products consists of its Easy platform which has a converting/finishing machine; a digital cutter; servo inspection reconditioners; and a non-stop rewinder. Additionally, the company has its Icon platform which is suitable for printing and converting adhesive labels; its Classic range which the company says has been its ‘spearhead’ over the years; and a selection of ancillary products such as a coil lifter, spool lifter and tools, shore vacuum cleaner, and a washing fountain.
The partnership will allow MPS to distribute its range of products to the French market. These products include its next generation, offset, packaging and Symjet product lines; plus, its cross-over unit, closed loop laminator unit, in-register laminator, Ultraflex rail system, web turner bar, quick-change die unit, and its embossing platform.
