Prepress equipment and software provider Esko will host its Packaging and Label Forum, a two-day event returning to the UK, on the 6-7 November 2024 at Holywell Park, Loughborough.

Esko is staging the event in association with Bobst, HP, Asahi, CERM, Flint Group, Maxcess, Tharstern and print tools process automation company, The Grey Elephant, giving packaging professionals the opportunity to network with suppliers from across the industry, take part in discussions and hear from industry leaders and keynote speakers.

This year’s forum will focus on: insights from drupa 2024; areas that are key to business success; challenges and opportunities facing the industry; how automation is helping increase productivity; and the latest solutions helping converters achieve sustainability goals.

Jan De Roeck, Esko director of marketing, industry relations and strategy, said the company will also be bringing its Innovation Lab to the UK, giving attendees the chance to preview prototypes that are at advanced stages of development – including a new AI-assisted decision-making tool for upstream packaging project specifications.

Across the two days, experts from across the sector will deliver presentations and lead discussions on latest innovations premiered at this year’s global industry expo, as well as topics that are top of the agenda for 2025 and beyond, said Mr De Roeck.

He added that across the program of sessions there will be speakers from education institutions discussing the future generations of workers in the sector, and industry experts discussing the potential benefits – and those already being enjoyed – through the use of artificial intelligence in packaging production.
