Label and packaging producer Reflex Group is investing €2 million (£1.66 million) in Grafotronic label finishing machines, which will be installed at multiple facilities across Reflex’s global footprint.
Included in the investment is a mix of Grafotronic DCL machines, ranging from 350 to 550 mm in width, along with an advanced DCL Haptic embellishing line. The Grafotronic DCL series has a fully modular design, allowing for integration into Reflex’s existing production workflows, and providing high-speed finishing solutions that Grafotronic says are both operator-independent and highly efficient. The DCL Haptic embellishing line further enhances the range of finishing options available, enabling Reflex to offer ‘unique, tactile effects that elevate the quality of their labels’.
Paul Hughes, managing director at Grafotronic UK, said, ‘The purchase from Reflex Labels sends a clear signal to the UK label industry that Grafotronic has arrived. With 20 years of expertise in designing and manufacturing innovate digital finishing machines in Europe and the US, I am proud to now be bringing this experience to the UK market. This deal marks our intentions to grow in the UK and I am committed to bringing new customers onboard in both the UK and Republic of Ireland.’
Grafotronic is a Swedish-Polish company that has more than 1500 label finishing machines installed in over 60 countries. The company employs over 200 people, primarily in its factory in Warsaw, Poland, and operates demo and service centres in the US, Sweden, Italy, the UK and the Netherlands.
The installation of the machines with Reflex Group is scheduled to begin in the autumn of 2024.
