Focus Label Machinery has re-appointed James Thomas, this time as head of sales and business development, following the departure of Antony Cotton who is moving to pastures new.
In his new role, Mr Thomas will be handling distributor sales and customer demonstrations with the company’s partners, Konica Minolta, for the Accurio 230 and 400 lines, as well as Focus’s finishing and Hybrid equipment.
Having previously worked for Focus as business development and marketing manager from 2016 until 2020, Mr Thomas helped drive the growth of the company and the Focus brand, bringing in new business, partners and products during his four years at the company.
David Lee, company director, stated, ‘James has a wealth of industry knowledge, especially in digital print production, with a good business understanding. He will be a great asset to the business, as he was previously. We are all absolutely delighted James is rejoining Focus and see his appointment as a fresh approach for the company.’
Mr Thomas commented, ‘For me this is a wonderful opportunity to bring Focus and its brand back to pre-Covid levels. To have a UK manufacturer, manufacturing site and showroom all under one roof in the heart of the Midlands is a story worth telling. Focus has such a depth of skill, knowledge and ability to design and build bespoke, modular and application-based printing and finishing equipment as well as supplying and supporting some great OEM products. As a family run business, now into its third generation, the brand, although known worldwide, is still not as prominent in the minds of our future customers as it warrants. That is my job and I’m looking forward to continuing the project.’
