Comexi has launched a new version of its S1DT slitting technology, with the new S1DT evolution being ‘a significant step forward in productivity and automation’.
The system aligns with increasing industry demand for wrap-around labels, with a need for visually appealing and functional packaging. Comexi said it is highly productive, featuring a double turret that support rewinding diameters of up to 650mm. It is initially available as a 800m/min (2600ft/min) version.
Integrated 100% inspection and laser and labelling modules can be included, as well as automated and inline solutions retained from the predecessor S1DT machine. This includes the automatic reel handling system that transfers reels from slitter to pallet without human intervention. In addition, the S1DT evolution has a modern aesthetic to its looks, with enhanced LED lighting, clear control panels and easy access points.
