Press manufacturer Mark Andy has appointed European advanced rotary tooling solutions provider Rotometal as an approved supplier and says the companies have already worked together on a new composite print cylinder sleeve, crafted from the ‘highest quality’ epoxy resin to offer ‘exceptional thermal resistance and dimensional stability’.
This would appear to be composite rotoSleeves Glass Fibre, according to Rotometal’s own announcement, which also mentions the Mark Andy AntiFriction Print Cylinder, which has an ‘industry leading’ surface hardness of 450HV (Vickers scale) and facilitates ‘effortless’ tape removal while safeguarding against scratches, and the Mark Andy Magnetic Die Cylinders AluLite, precision finished and equipped with the ‘highest-grade gears available’.
Duane Pekar, CEO of Mark Andy, said the move is about ‘strategically enhancing our technological offerings to better serve our customers’.
Rotometal’s CEO Grzegorz Dołbniak, said, ‘This partnership is a testament to our growth and the unique value we bring to the table with our technology. Together, we are poised to make significant advancements in the industry, benefiting customers worldwide.’
