Family-owned business Watershed Packaging has added to its already impressive array of nine presses from MPS Systems, creating a landmark moment for MPS with its 1000th machine installation.
The new 10-colour EFA press with 580mm web width at its facility in Leeds outlines the loyalty Watershed has shown towards MPS as it continues its near 20-year long relationship.
Watershed said the acquisition of the MPS machine signifies its commitment to advancing production capabilities, with the machine offering higher-quality and more efficient solutions to their clientele.
John Waters, owner of Watershed, said of the acquisition, ‘This addition plays a pivotal role in our expansion strategy, enabling us to meet the evolving demands of our clients across shrink sleeve, wrap-around label, and dairy lidding markets.’
Nick Tyrer, managing director of MPS Systems (UK), reflected on the shared journey and prosperity of the two companies. He said, ‘It seems fitting that a company that has been with us since the start is now purchasing the 1000th machine from us.
‘This press stands as the pinnacle of MPS technology, symbolising a significant investment in both the machine itself and the performance programs that form the foundation of all our latest platforms.’
