Press manufacturer Mark Andy has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer to replace Jason Desai, who is to remain involved as a member of the board of directors.
The new man is Duane Pekar, most recently president and CEO of Trajus Building Products, and before that a holder of key leadership roles at such companies as General Motors, Honeywell, Midstate Berkshire, FRAM Group and Carrier. Mr Pekar has more than two decades of C-suite leadership experience across various industries. His previous work has seen him facilitate growth and evolution through creating innovative strategic plans and leadership initiatives.
Mr Pekar commented, ‘With its legacy in the flexographic and digital printing industry, and a reputation for strong technical knowledge and customer-centric service, Mark Andy plays a leadership role in the converting industry, and I am eager to build on this legacy, spearheading innovations that will catalyse growth for our customers and business partners.’
Outgoing CEO Mr Desai said the business was confident that Mr Pekar would bring ‘the vision and decades of experience needed to propel our company forward’, adding, ‘Under Duane’s expert leadership, Mark Andy is poised to enter a new chapter of growth.’
