Canadian labels and flexible packaging printer FlexoPartners has invested in a new eight-colour press from MPS, seeking to expand both its production capacity and its customer offering.
The MPS EFA 430 flexo press is an automated system with 430mm print width, delam/relam, web turner bar and single die unit. It has also been specified with MPS’s performance program with MPSConnect for performance optimisation.
The performance program includes online learning to help operators improve press skills, monthly performance analysis, video analysis to combine quantitative from the machine with qualitative data from what is happening on and around the press, and a quarterly financial analysis to identify improvements in productivity and profitability. MPSConnect tracks more than 20KPIs to help save time, money and waste by tracking job and roll changeovers, planned and unplanned press stops, press speed and more activity.
FlexoPartners, which is under new ownership, prints pressure sensitive labels, lidding films, shrink sleeves and other specialised labels and flexible packaging, with customers across Canada and also in the American market. The new MPS flexo press, which was purchased through Canadian agent Northern Graphic Solutions, is already running in live production.
