Germany-based HT Labelprint – part of the Optimum Group – has invested in its fourth MPS flexo press, a 10-colour EF 430mm (17-inch) machine that it is using for multi-layer label applications. The press replaced a 22-year-old MPS press that has since been sold to a label printer in Jordan.
Running since mid-May, the new system has MPS’s E-sleeves, Apex GTT anilox rollers and GEW E4C water-cooled UV curing. It is equipped with delam/relam, screen printing, cold foil and lamination on rail. A web turner bar allows labels to be printed on the backside or glue side. It also includes a customised frame with a servo-driven chill drum.
‘We purchased this new MPS machine to offer our customers more possibilities and respond even better to their needs with label production as well as printing flexible packaging,’ said Matthias Gerloff of Optimum Group HT Labelprint. ‘In addition, it is an asset for our employees, as the press is known for its ease of use. The combination of excellent quality, high productivity, and unlimited flexibility makes this machine extremely valuable to Optimum Group HT Labelprint.’
