Swanline Group, the UK-based trade-only packaging and point of sale print and converting supplier, has added corrugated converting capacity with an investment in two new systems from Bobst – a folder-gluer and a die-cutter.
The Bobst Expertfold 165 is an A2 folder-gluer that Swanline says is ideally suited to the demands of modern high-speed, high output packing lines. It can also handle complicated packaging designs, enabling Swanline to offer customers greater creative freedom. The Visioncut 1.6 PR flat-bed die-cutter can accommodate most substrates, as well as long and short runs, the company said. The PR aspect of the title stands for Power Register – a system that ‘delivers unrivalled print-to-cut accuracy’.
‘In order to offer Swanline customers the very best solutions, we know it’s important to continually invest in the very best processing, printing and conversion technology,’ said Dave Salt, production manager. ‘Bobst gives us access to this calibre of equipment along with a robust service network, which is an equally important consideration in our purchasing decisions.
‘The company’s investment in additional Bobst technology will give us increased capacity to service the needs of both existing and future customers.’
Swanline said the investment in these systems will help it meet growing demand for its corrugated packaging solutions.
