Measurement and analysis system manufacturer Sibress has taken on the distribution of US company MicroDynamics’ Veritas measurement microscope for anilox rollers in Europe and neighbouring countries.
The Veritas system uses white light interferometry to measure anilox rollers at a resolution of 0.25 microns. A user-friendly interface enables the analysis of an anilox cylinder surface without prior knowledge, the company claims, with a typical time from scan start to evaluation of all acquired data, including a 3D image, of less than 10 seconds.
Data gathered includes cell depth, volume, angle, surface texture/roughness, wall thickness and opening angle. Logs of measurement results are easily stored in a database for later comparison across different time periods.
Buyers receive a calibrated Veritas 3D measurement microscope with a standard 20x lens objective (120-2000 lpi), along with cables and a computer that has the software pre-installed. If required, a MicroDynamics-certified calibration roller can also be purchased, to act as a reference check on the system.
Sibress has sold the MD3Dqc white light interferometer since 2011.
