Apex International says it is adding 2,500sq/m of space to its production facilities, with the purchase of the adjacent building to its headquarters in Hapert, The Netherlands. The the expanded production capacity will enable it to meet ‘surging demand’ for its anilox and embossing technology, it said.
Work has already started on renovating the new building for its future use, which includes increased office, research and development and manufacturing capacity. Apex said the expansion is a ‘strategic response’ enabling it to cater for global demand of its technologies. It is hoped that the new site will be reopened by the end of this year.
‘This expansion comes at a crucial time as we continue to experience remarkable growth in the global market,’ said Ruud van Cuijk, CEO of Apex International. ‘The additional space enhances our production capabilities and provides room for innovative research and development efforts. Our aim isn’t just to expand our physical reach, but to broaden our impact, effectively driving the necessary innovations within our industry.’
On the embossing side of the business, Marian Waterschoot, managing director for embossing at Apex International, said the expansion will mean the company can offer more tailored and efficient solutions, and that with more room for advanced screening and embossing technology, it could ‘meet specific customer needs faster and more effectively than ever before’.
