Danish company Color Label has installed a Nilpeter FA-17 at its premises in Aarhus. The eight-colour machine, which is replacing a pair of 17in FA-4200 17 presses, is intended to modernise and automate the company’s in-house processes.
Founded in 1980 by Erik Grønning, who is still at the helm, Color Label is a longstanding Nilpeter customer and currently runs a fleet of 10 Nilpeter presses. As one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of self-adhesive labels to the food, chemical and retail sectors, the company is service-oriented and has more than 3600sqm of space at its disposal.
Mr Grønning commented, ‘The installation of our new Nilpeter FA-17 is a great step forward for Color Label, and it is definitely a milestone for us towards digitalising flexo. It gives us a wide range of new possibilities when it comes to automation of our in-house processes, and it optimises our operation, quality, and effectivity significantly.’
Jesper Jørgensen, Nilpeter’s global sales manager, added, ‘Since Color Label was founded in 1980 and kicked off with a Nilpeter Rotolabel F200, a steady fleet of Nilpeter presses has been added to Color Labels production floor over the years, always seeking new boundaries with the highest standards in quality and technology. The latest installation of the FA-17 with full automation package cements this path forward. We are proud of our long-term cooperation with Color Label.’
Nilpeter markets the FA Line as ‘the most versatile flexo presses on the market,’ saying that as ‘a benchmark of flexibility and modularity, the FA allows printers to enhance the performance of their press with value-adding units, application and automation packages, according to application needs and budget.’
