Resino Inks has developed solvent-based, alkaline resistant ink for plastic packaging and labels for chemical products.
The company claims customers often find it challenging to meet the consumers’ demands regarding chemical resistance – which is mostly achieved by using solvent based inks. According to Resino, it is a possible scenario that the customer is not allowed to use flammable inks in the print shop.
UV curing inks can be a solution, but this requires a UV printing press, so the company aimed to develop a high quality ink, suitable for flexo printing, to resist detergents, hot water, and a multitude of chemicals, while the print retains its colours.
