UK-based DR Labelling Systems Ltd has installed the latest FS series slitter rewinder die-cutter from Focus Label Machinery as part of an ongoing modernisation programme across its range of label production equipment.
The company supplies a range of printed, plain and digital self-adhesive labels, printed fabric and woven textile labels, thermal printing systems, swing tickets/hang tags and a complete range of price marking and coding labellers. The new Focus machine is configured as an inspection-slitter-rewinder, with a full rotary die station for the converting of blank labels.
The Focus FS model is available with web widths of 250mm and 330mm and can be supplied with several different configurations – including twin die stations. The large capacity unwind has been specified to accommodate a full master roll. A number of options can be added to complement inspection and finishing possibilities, including digital overprinting and separate converting systems. Scissor slitting, pneumatic crush slitting and razor slitting options are all available.
Steven Russell, operations manager at DR Labelling, said, ‘As our orders have continued to increase, we needed to increase capacity in our finishing department. We’ve known Focus for many years and have a couple of their RD 250 presses, so had no hesitation in ordering the new label converter from them. We have developed a good working partnership with Focus. Their equipment is well made & reliable, whilst the back-up service is excellent.’
Focus sales manager, Antony Cotton added, ‘It has been a pleasure working with DR Labelling and we are delighted that they have once again, chosen Focus to supply their latest converting equipment.’
