Curing specialist GEW is anticipating the adoption of LED to continue ‘at pace’, as the first MPS press in the UK with full LED curing is installed at Bizerba.
Bizerba UK has installed a 10-colour MPS EFA 530 flexo press with full LED drying from GEW as part of the creation of a new label manufacturing facility in the country. This purchase marks the first MPS press in the UK with full LED drying from GEW.
Marcus Greenbrook, director of international sales at GEW, said, ‘We have seen the adoption of LED in both Europe and the USA over the last few years and it is great to see this trend continuing at pace in the UK, as more and more printers realise the many benefits of LED.
‘Thanks to Bizerba for being one of the pioneering printers to move to LED, and it made complete sense to purchase its first MPS with LED when starting a new site in the UK. I am sure this will be the first of many.’
