Jupiter Prestige Group (JPG), the global packaging graphics provider based in in Essex, UK, has licensed PACKZ and CLOUDFLOW from Hybrid Software to standardise workflows and enhance process automation.
PACKZ and CLOUDFLOW are installed at three production hubs, in the UK, Hong Kong and United States, and are in use by more than 250 staff members after extensive pilot projects.
‘Hybrid’s CLOUDFLOW system allowed us to retire multiple legacy production applications and implant a unified framework that provides the foundation to develop further innovative solutions that benefit us and ultimately our customers,’ said Mark White, JPG’s managing director.
‘The life cycle of each file has become more efficient at all stages through our production studios. We now control our internal approve cycles behind the scenes removing the latency from production, the status of each file is fed back into our internal management information system automatically so everyone from management to the operators know exactly where and at what stage a task or project is at instantly.’
In addition to licensing PACKZ, the native PDF pre-press production tool designed for labels and packaging, JPG has licensed multiple CLOUDFLOW modules – Workspace, Packzflow and Proofscope.
CLOUDFLOW is a modular system that has allowed JPG to link their internal management information system ‘The Hub’ with the CLOUDFLOW system via a custom-built API. This allows JPG to drive data straight from their project teams directly into the CLOUDFLOW system and automate tasks. By automating these tasks JPG has improved efficiency and quality control, taking human error out of the equation.
‘The Proofscope module is a big hit for our teams’, added Mr White. ‘This product forms part of our internal approval cycles. It allows a streamlined paperless quality control process within production between our Artworkers and QC operators, using just a few simple clicks. Proofscope E has great mark-up tools allowing our QC operators to communicate amendments back to our artwork teams effectively through our internal management information system.’
JPG says it chose to replace its internally developed workflow scripts with software from Hybrid because their solutions seemed to be more streamlined, intuitive and intelligent than the other products they researched, as well as being priced more realistically so commercially more competitive. ‘The team at Hybrid really look after their customers and their support teams are amazing when it comes to providing solutions, which gave us the confidence to move ahead and choose them as a partner,’ concluded Mr White.
