Ultimate Packaging, part of the Ultimate Group, has installed a Bobst Expert CI press to increase print capacity and flexibility, in the wake of rising demand.
The Grimsby-based flexible packaging manufacturer, now owns six Bobst presses and needed itslatest one quickly.
Chris Tonge, owner of Ultimate Packaging said, ‘The press was originally meant to be running live at drupa, that’s how we’ve managed to get it so quickly. We needed it quickly too as we needed the extra capacity to meet demand. We have had a crazy increase in demand recently as nearly everything we do is for fresh food.
The Expert CI press can run up to 600m/min and helps to eliminate wasted substrate and consumables at start-up and job changes with its smartGPS or smartSET systems for registration and impression setting. It has a smartFLO inking system and chamber doctor blade delivering predictable, stable and controlled printing results with all ink types
