Comexi has successfully completed a remote installation of an S2 DT compact slitter at Ecuadorian company Flexiplast.
Flexiplast, a Quito-based business founded in 1994, specialises in the manufacture of flexible packaging. It made the decision to invest in the S2 DT as it was exited by its ‘high productivity and high flexibility.’ The slitter, equipped with a turret system to streamline project changes, is especially useful for a company that needs to produce a large number of reels.
During the installation of this new slitter the distance between the plant and the headquarters of Comexi was not an obstacle. The entire Flexiplast team, together with the support of the Comexi slitting department and the local Ecuadorian technical assistance team were all involved remotely.
‘We are very pleased with the installation of the Comexi S2 DT,’ said Arturo Sanchez, manager of Flexiplast. ‘This machine will allow us to continue offering services to all our customers, despite the difficulties of the current global pandemic situation.’
