Anglia Labels is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary next month. It was founded by current chairman Rowland Grindell and has been based at the same purpose built factory since 1982.

The Sudbury-based company supplies labels to a wide variety of clients across the UK and beyond in markets including car care, household, drinks, food, personal care, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Anglia Labels first moved into digital printing 22 years ago, investing in its first Indigo press. The latest updates to Anglia’s digital presses over the last two years means that 60% of the turnover is produced digitally.

In 2012 Anglia acquired Norfolk labelling business Norwich Labels and in 2013 it added Reel Time Labels, also based in Norfolk. Both companies now trade under the Anglia flag and their flexo presses are still in use within the Anglia building. The dual acquisition and continued investment in new presses has assisted in raising the company turnover by 41% over the last 5 years.
