Tropic Plastic and Packaging has purchased a fifth flexo press from Comexi.
The F2 MB is the South African company’s third Comexi purchase in two years and its fifth since 2011.
The machine, which has been installed at the company’s Durban premises, is designed for the medium web flexible packaging sector.
‘At the moment, Comexi is the industry leader when it comes to flexographic printing presses,’ explained Ismail Simjee Tropic’s managing director. ‘We are well positioned to take advantage of the new requirements and developments in the African packaging market, primarily as a result of our investment in innovation and partnership with great suppliers such as Comexi.’
Comexi is represented in South Africa by Advanced Packaging Technology, which is based in Cape Town.
