The pre-press specialist, Miller Graphics UK, has made a clear statement of its intent to become one of Europe’s leading pre-press partners in 2012, by investing heavily in new equipment and software.

A new large format (60″ x 42″), high resolution (4000 dpi) Esko CDI with HD capability, alongside new larger format high speed processing equipment, will effectively triple the company’s production capacity, giving its clients increased efficiencies and shorter lead times.

Additional digital proofing hardware will allow proofs that are accurately matched to press colour space to be produced on substrates that are closely aligned to production material, including metallised substrates.

The company is no stranger to innovation – it was responsible (as European beta testing partner) for the introduction of Kodak Flexcel NX into the wide web market in 2008, and since that time has continued to push the boundaries of what is technically possibly in the world of pre-press.

Alan Brown, managing director, commented, ‘This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to offer exceptional service and quality to our clients.

The blend of large size CDI and NX will give us an unrivalled manufacturing flexibility that allows us to seek more business whilst delivering improved service to our existing customers.’
