Dr Peter Emerson has been appointed as managing director, RotoMetrics Europe. Reporting to Robert Spiller, the company’s president and chief executive officer, Dr Emerson will have responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s European operations.
‘Peter Emerson comes to RotoMetrics with a deep European business leadership background,’ said Mr Spiller. Dr Emerson was most recently managing director for Centrifugal Casting SBU at Doncasters Group Ltd, a precision manufacturer of engineered components. Prior to that, he held the role of chief operating officer for FOSROC, a $400 million worldwide construction chemicals manufacturer. Dr Emerson’s prior experience in the tag and label industry includes serving as managing director of base materials producer, Smith & McLaurin Ltd, as well as senior research and technology roles with Avery Dennison’s UK base materials division. He took up his new position on June 11, 2012 and will be based at the company’s Aldridge, UK site.
