Anilox Laser Technology Ltd has developed a completely new anilox cell concept for the flexo printing and coating markets. Nano Anilox technology has been developed to help the flexo printer increase the uses of one anilox specification. This new technology incorporates a cell geometry that allows maximum cell volume release whilst keeping the cell opening to depth ratio at a minimum. This means that a high line count can be achieved and still deliver a high volume transfer.
Because of the improved transfer from Nano Anilox technology, the printer will see a significant reduction in cleaning cycles and can also offer an option to reduce their catalogue of anilox specifications. This can then reduce unnecessary downtime created while changing anilox rollers or sleeves.
‘When we purchased the Fibre Optic Ultra system towards the end of 2011, we knew that we could optimise the new software package and develop the Nano Anilox specifications. Since then, we have conducted extensive tests with some excellent and surprising results. We are now in a position to offer the print market something that will deliver a combined solution to the flexo printer,’ explained owner, Anthony Jewell.
The new technology can be offered in any line count and volume combination and Anilox Laser Technology can advise on any technical requirement.
