UEI Group, headquartered in USA, has acquired the assets of Falcontec Ltd to strengthen its leadership in the hot stamping and embossing industry.

The combined company will underscore the Group’s commitment to the European market. ‘One of our core strategies is to expand our business where our customers are growing, meeting their needs in different parts of the world, said Larry Hutchison, president and CEO. ‘Acquiring Falcontec not only demonstrates that we are serious about growing our business in Europe, it gives us the room we need to expand our capabilities and capacity.’

Falcontec Ltd, based in Halesowen, West Midlands, is one of the UK’s premier rotary tooling manufactures supplying the growing pressure sensitive label markets for home and personal care, food and beverage, wine and spirit, and healthcare industries.

Mr Hutchison added, ‘We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition provides. Both companies have long been recognised as leaders in the manufacture of hot stamping and embossing tooling and dies. Now, together, we will have unparalleled manufacturing capabilities, increased technology and a premier product offering.’

Falcontec, and its full product line, will fall under the UEI Group of companies which includes Universal Engraving, Inc, UEI FineCut Ltd, UEI Systems and Infinity Foils, Inc, and continue to operate from its current premises.

In addition, through this acquisition Falcontec customers will also benefit from UEI Group’s exclusive sales and distributorship with RotoMetrics. This reunites Falcontec’s rotary hot stamping and embossing tooling with a global sales and distribution resource, which will handle customer’s order inquiries on a direct basis.
