A booth at Converflex 2013 will mark a year of celebratory events for Omet as it celebrates its 50th anniversary at the show in Milan.
Turning 50 at the beginning of February this year, the company’s booth at Converflex will be showing its history from foundation back in 1963, to today’s success in the narrow and mid-web printing and tissue converting industries. It now has more than 250 employees, 1000 machines installed worldwide and a turnover for the sole machines division of €52 million in 2012.
Celebrations will begin with participation at Tissue World, Barcelona, in March 2013 with a booth dedicated to the 50th anniversary, followed by the celebrations in May that will include an event dedicated to the trade press and opinion leaders.
If the trip into Omet history and technological progress is not enough for visitors then at the company premises in Lecco they will have the chance to ‘touch and feel’ the most recent machines of OMET range and witness demonstrations.
The machines on display in Lecco will be a Varyflex V2, an XFlex X6 equipped with the newly launched offset groups with sleeves and an XFlex X4, combining tradition, the printing cylinder, to the most advanced electronics.
After the summer holidays, the celebrations will continue at Labelexpo Europe 2013, Brussels, where Omet will reveal a new look. The celebrations will end with an internal event dedicated to the employees of the entire group. The anniversary year will be closed with a sport event for the employees and their families.
