To support continuing international growth, David Stevens has been appointed to the position of market development manager at Soma Engineering, for its range of flexographic printing presses.
Based in the United Kingdom, Mr Stevens has held key management positions covering technical, sales and marketing activities with major corporations in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Commenting on the appointment Soma sales director, Petr Blasko said, ‘David Stevens has some 30 years’ experience in the field of flexographic printing and has an in depth knowledge of the technology. His background and experience in development projects and technical service will be an invaluable asset to the company. This appointment coincides with the launch of our new Soma Globe Technology and training Centre and reflects our continuous growth and the expansion of our activities worldwide.
The company’s new Globe facility, opening in May 2013, will offer customers the opportunity for both product development and training and bring together key technologies and suppliers in flexible packaging production under one roof.
