Pantone has launched a digital subscription service devoted solely to colour, pantoneview.com in its 50th anniversary year.
Catering to designers across all areas of design from fashion to interiors and from graphics to branding, the site features visual inspiration, critical colour direction and a global perspective on colour from the world’s leading experts, enabling users to make more informed decisions and perfect their colour strategy.
Pantone commented, ‘Colour influences 50% to 85% of customer purchasing decisions and is the first thing consumers notice about a brand’s logo. Establishing a specific brand colour, or colours, can provide an a mark of distinction, which also makes the brand more memorable, an important factor in the very competitive marketplace.’
Of the top 100 global brand logos, 32 companies have two or more colours in their design with the most popular combination being blue, red and white. For single colour logos, black leads the pack with 20 brands, followed by blue with 18 and red with 16.
