This year’s North Print event has been developed to address the printed packaging sector and rebranded as North Print & Pack 2013. The show will run from 14 to 16 May at the Harrogate International Centre and printed packaging has equal billing with other applications.
Flexo plus
Event organisers Informa could see that the flexo community had not been served by its own show for more than five years, and on that basis, the North Print & Pack team set out to deliver an event that would satisfy the interests of UK flexo printers. Narrow web exhibitors include AB Graphic International, Alphasonics, Bobst UK, Edale, Flexo Wash (UK), Flint Group, GEW, GMG, Herma UK, IST (UK) Ltd, K2 International, Nilpeter, RotoMetrics International, Sandon Global and Teknek.
North Print & Pack 2013 has attracted the endorsement and active participation of several key packaging industry bodies, including the BPIF, EFIA, The Packaging Society and The Institute of Packaging Professionals. Their collective insights have been invaluable in helping the event team tailor aspects of the show to the needs of packaging professionals.
Theatre programme
Three theatres offer the visitor multiple opportunities to develop their awareness of trends and acquire important new knowledge and skills. When not on the show floor, flexo printers can devote their time to Theatre 2, where the Thinking Outside the Box programme is designed specifically for packaging converters and commercial printers with an interest in packaging.
With an excellent line up of flexo suppliers and a diverse education programme devised specifically for packaging converters and printers, it looks as though North Print & Pack 2013 is evolving successfully from its heritage as a show for commercial printers, and is certainly one to add to your calendar for May.
