Packaging created by Leading Edge

Leading Edge has launched a range of packaging solutions for Gillette’s Proglide and Venus razors after being given Tier One supplier status by Procter & Gamble.

In the Proglide packaging process the printed lids are screen printed using speciality inks and cut, sorted and stacked in one pass. Inserts are die-cut and incorporate speciality inks and a holographic varnish, giving an added depth to the packaging.

The company was also chosen after Gillette Venus partnered up with Olay, the skin product manufacturer, to provide a high quality woman’s razor. It was the partnership, which saw the need to launch new packaging along with the new product.

The packaging for these razors also saw the use of speciality inks, screen printed to give a rich depth of colour and the singularly finished printed plastic lids also incorporate holographic varnishes providing greater impact. The company also produced the corresponding printed die cut and creased insert cards to provide two of the components for the brand’s packaging.
