Fujifilm has made a partnership with Hell Gravure Systems to sell its B1 format Direct Laser Engraving (DLE) platesetter, the PremiumSetter S1300, in Europe.
The partnership is part of the company’s strategy to grow its label and packaging business.
The agreement will see the company sell the machine together with its Flenex DLE plate to create a high quality, simple and efficient flexo plate production system. Fujifilm will showcase the system for the first time in Europe at Labelexpo, Brussels, 24 – 27 September 2013.
The Hell PremiumSetter S1300 is a perfect match for the Flenex DLE plate as it has a reputation for high quality and reliability, and fits perfectly with the company’s strategy of introducing high quality, sustainable plate production solutions across its portfolio.
Yasufumi Morimoto, senior vice president of the graphic systems division, said, ‘We are delighted to partner with Hell Gravure Systems and look forward to working with them to introduce DLE flexo plate production to more printers around Europe. As part of a general strategy to develop our label and packaging business, we are committed to offering solutions to flexo printers to help them make their operations more efficient and sustainable, and we believe the Hell PremiumSetter S1300 together with the Flenex plate, will be a compelling solution.’
Dr. Jörg Pohé, CEO from Hell Gravure Systems commented, ‘It’s a pleasure to be working with Fujifilm and we are confident this partnership will help us introduce the benefits of DLE flexo plate production to more and more printers.’
