Meech International has appointed Scott Cook and Paul Levene as the company’s new production manager and web cleaning specialist respectively.
The latest additions to the team coincide with the recent premises expansion, marking a year of significant growth for the Oxfordshire-based business.
Mr Cook’s appointment as production manager ties in directly with the company’s objective to increase manufacturing capacity and provide assistance to its existing production team. With a background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in manufacturing environments, his key responsibilities involve improving production methods and processes, as well as implementing associated projects.

I’m looking forward to facing new challenges and help Meech take production to the next level.’
Paul Levene has been appointed as web cleaning specialist; he has a background in mechanical engineering and over two years’ experience as the company’s northern area sales manager, promoting the company’s full range of static control equipment. In his new role, Mr Levene’s main focus will be on the technical sales of web cleaners within the UK and Ireland.

He explained, ‘The expansion of Meech’s web cleaning division is very timely, as advances in print technology have seen an increase in specialised, sensitive and intelligent film substrates. This development, coupled with an increasing demand for defect-free products by end users, can potentially impact a converter’s bottom line profit. The Meech range of web cleaners ensures consistent, repeatable quality with minimum downtime whilst increasing output and profitability.’
‘Feedback from the market place has been very positive and I’m excited to be a part of this growing venture,’ said Mr Levene. ‘I look forward to working with my colleagues and to developing the UK web cleaning division.’
Furthermore accentuating the company’s growth in staff is the creation of new positions across numerous departments, including sales, accounts and manufacturing.
Iain Cameron, international product manager, concluded, ‘It is an exciting time of expansion for the company and both Paul and Scott have already proved to be valuable assets to our business. We are very confident they will continue to excel in their respective roles and, along with the rest of our new recruits, help us maintain the high level of quality that customers have come to expect from the Meech brand.’
