Comexi held a practical workshop during its Solventless Printing Technologies seminar

The Comexi Group is pressing on with its strategy to lead the industry on making the transition to sustainable yet high quality printing.

To promote this aim, the company held the seminar, ‘Solventless Printing Technologies’, along with Sun Chemical, BASF and ESI, on 11-12 December, during which the firm presented its innovations in flexo and offset to over 80 professionals.

The attendees were able to learn first hand the benefits of the group’s ink technology and solventless printing machinery. The innovations, three of which are already on the market with the fourth available in early 2014, involve an improvement in the quality of work, lower costs and a reduced environmental impact.

After the seminar, held at the Condes de Barcelona Hotel, Comexi hosted a practical workshop where a demonstration of its different technologies was held. The WB Comexi Flexo F2 was the main focus with its water based flexo printing, and has become the most suitable 8 colour machine for medium and long runs without compromising speed or quality.

Lastly, the EB offset printing was shown using the Offset Comexi CI8, an already implemented solution on the market that improves both time-to-market and flexibility in production compared to flexo and gravure printing.
