Nick Smith, who will assume his role with effect from 1 April 2014
Parkside Flexibles (Europe) Limited have announced the appointment of its new managing director, Nick Smith, who will assume his role with effect from 1 April 2014.
The appointment follows the untimely loss of CEO Lawrence Dall in September last year after losing his battle with cancer.
Mr Smith brings with him many years of experience from Sun Chemicals where he is managing director of the UK-Nordic division. He studied at Loughborough University where he gained a BSc in Economics, and in 2007 was awarded an MBA from Cranfield University’s School of Management.
Mr Smith joined Sun as a graduate in 1999 within the sales function but subsequently gained a breath of experience from a variety of roles within the business, including operations. More recently he successfully lead strategic business transformation projects as well as taking leadership roles within the UK packaging division.
He joins Parkside at an exciting time as the business looks to build on its continued success in Europe and Asia, through its focused innovations programme.
