John Falder, managing director of HMG Paints Ltd, has been appointed as the new president of the British Coatings Federation (BCF).

HMG have a long history of supporting the Federation with Mr Falder’s brother, Stephen, previously being president in 1999 and 2000. Mr Falder is currently chairman of BCF’s Industrial Coatings Council and was formerly chair of the Vehicle Refinish Group.
The BCF’s CEO, Tom Bowtell, said ‘I am delighted to have John bring his passion and enthusiasm to his role as President, which I’m sure will help the Federation’s cause in the coming years.’
Manchester based HMG Paints is the largest independent, industrial paints manufacturer in the UK. John Falder added, ‘I am honoured to take on this prestigious role and I am looking forward to representing the industry and to making a difference.’
