Longstanding Edale customer, Craig & Parsons has purchased its fifth press, since the very first was installed back in 1999. The Folkestone company was established in 1945 with the labelling division started up in 1970.
Stephen Craig, director, said, ‘We purchased our first Edale in 1999 and this new press will be our fifthEdale 330. We decided to opt for UV and water-based drying again as we saw a great improvement in productivity since buying our first UV press two years ago. We have kept the water-based systems as we still produce a lot of short run work in spot Pantone colours and find our original water-based system is still the better option. The Edale press is perfectly suited to our needs with the option to upgrade and modify the press to any new enquiries that come up. All of our presses have had major upgrades over the years which were fitted seamlessly causing very little downtime.’
Steve Cleaver, production manager, added, ‘With a tooling catalogue as extensive as ours, it made sense to choose a fifth Edale. This means we can produce almost any job on any of our five presses, giving us the flexibility to turn jobs round in the same day if required.’
Louise Bailey, Edale’s account manager, concluded, ‘Craig & Parsons is a true Edale house. It is a very impressive company, which we have great pleasure in working with.’
