On Saturday 19 April Frank Lyons, director of Asahi Photoproducts, passed away aged 72 years, after a short illness.
Born in Kettering during the war, he spent his entire working life in the printing industry. Frank built his working experience and reputation with many of the famous names in the Graphic Arts supply business including Shackle Edwards, Gestetner, Ilford, Polychrome, DuPont, Harris Intertype and Asahi.
Mr Lyons was a director of Asahi Kasei Photoproducts business, which he served for 28 years. In that role he was an excellent businessman, motivator and mentor. In his latter years he was elected to the board of EFTA and then went on to serve as chairman. The industry will miss a great human being.
Mr Lyons leaves a wife Diane and three children, Nick, Vanessa and Geraldine. The family has arranged the funeral service Chelmsford Crematorium, Essex on 6 May at 11.30.
