Comexi Group has begun installing the F2 platform in Russia after it reached an agreement for the sale of a Flexo F2 MP with TOM Ltd.

Based in Siberia, the company manufactures products for flexible packaging within KDV Group. The business group owns several brands such as Yashkino, 3 Korochki, Beerka or Babkini Semiechki, amongst others, making it one of the largest manufacturers of confectionery and snacks in Russia.

The Flexo F2 MP allows printing from 1270 mm to 1470 mm with 8 colours and printing developments up to 850 mm. It includes electronic systems for the very best print quality at speeds of up to 500 m/m and printing different substrates from plastic film to paper or laminates.

Recently, the F2 platform has incorporated the Flexo F2 WB that adds an ecological choice due to its possibility of water-based printing.

TOM general manager, Nikolay Babkin, said, ‘With the acquisition of the Comexi Flexo F2 MP the response to the customer will be faster, more reliable and secure. With this flexo machine, Comexi Group meets the highest quality standards.’

The Flexo F2 MP has a maximum speed of 500 m/min and PC mandrels and anilox made of carbon fibre, providing maximum rigidity. It also reinforces drying between colours for large applications in white, automatic ink temperature control and automatic viscosity control.

The Russian company has also bought the Proslit Compack 2 and the Proslit Duo2 slitting machines, the Nexus Evo solvent-less laminator and the solvent based Nexus Dual.
