As ink manufacturer hubergroup celebrates its 250th anniversary, it is also rebranding to offer a unified image.
Although the group has grown in recent years, until now it has retained its different identities around the world, including Hostmann-Steinberg and Stehlin Hostag, which historically were both associated with its offset and UV brands.
‘As global markets have consolidated, it is important that the company has one identity and one global brand, so from 2015 Stehlin Hostag Ink UK Ltd will be known as hubergroup UK Ltd,’ explained managing director, David Ward.
During this process, the group is also optimising its European production plants in an effort to simplify supply lines and strengthen its market offering. Its water-based flexo inks will continue to be manufactured in Germany, while hubergroup Italia will continue as the manufacturing site of the Gecko brand of solvent-based inks.
Mr Ward said, ‘In terms of products, services and solutions nothing will change here in the UK. In fact, we are in the process of investing in strengthening our teams and expanding our opening hours to a full 24/7 solution.’
