National Flexible has appointed Dave Daniels as technical director after working his way up the company since he joined as a warehouse operative in 1998.
Mr Daniels moved into the print team and developed his knowledge in repro, print and films to such a degree that he now runs training courses for customers and prospects including some of the largest food groups in the UK.
He is well respected and is often asked to sit on panels to discuss developments and innovations in the industry.
He is passionate about keeping customers up to date with new advances in films and pack format. ‘We visit our customers’ factories and take a holistic view of packing lines, the product, the packaging and the production process and offer cost reduction proposals, even help with capital expenditure,’ he said.
‘Our technical team visits most packaging exhibitions around the world to keep up to date so that our customers don’t have to. ‘The savings for our customers in 2014 were in the millions of pounds.’
