With a floor space 10% larger than the same show last year ICE Europe opened its doors to 7040 visitors from 71 different countries.
A total of 439 suppliers to the industry were showing their wares at the Munich Trade Fair Centre and new developments came from a number of companies such as TKM Meyer, who told FlexoTech that it plans to introduce a new product to the market next month, the CeraPrint, the company’s first coated doctor blade.
‘The continued growth of the world’s leading converting exhibition demonstrates the positive economic outlok of the industry sector and its dynamic development. There is considerable growth potential for the converting industry in the emerging markets where the demand for consumer products and flexible packaging solutions is continuously growing,’ said Nicola Hamann, managing director.
The Comexi Group is showing its range of finishing solutions for the flexible packaging market, including a new special laminate which can create a 3D effect. David Centelles, corporate marketing director, said ‘ We are focusing on showing visitors to this show how they can add value to the packaging they print with the right type of finsihing solution.
